The CargoTel Network is an exciting new load matching service for all types of companies involved in the transport of vehicles and other commodities. It is a collaborative network of members, who utilize our technology to make transportation more efficient.
The combination of using real-time information and CargoTel's Dynamic Radius technology enables our partners to build more efficient loads, reduce empty miles, fill back-hauls, improve transit times, and reduce overall transportation costs.
Here's how it works:
Shippers enter or upload the vehicles they need shipped, and the Network searches for Carriers that have the current capacity to move those vehicles. Carrier capacity is based on actual empty slots on trucks that are near your shipment origin, and are heading in the vicinity of your shipment destination.
As a result, the matches provided by the Network are:
- Optimized for fast transit, since the trucks are immediately available to load your vehicle(s)
- Reasonably priced, since your shipment is filling empty slot(s) on existing trucks
Carriers enter or upload information on available capacity, which consists primarily of the location of trucks, their desired destination, and the number of open slots on each. The Network then searches for all posted shipments that are a good match. The results provided by the Network:
- Are optimized for proximity to your truck location and desired destination
- Contain important information about each load, to assist you in making the best decision on which loads to accept
There is a huge difference between the CargoTel Network and the other load matching services that you may be familiar with. Here are some of the features that make us better:
- The CargoTel Network uses real-time data for loads and available carrier capacity, not just a "posting" followed by a desire to make a pick-up.
- Only our network uses a sophisticated Dynamic Radius algorithm to apply radius logic to find matches, including matches that are on the carrier's route.
Our network is fully integrated with CargoTel's SCS and TMS applications. Loads and capacity entries can be posted to the network with a mouse click, and shipment data can flow between a Network shipper and a Network carrier seamlessly.
